When hull number 2 of the FC53 fast cruiser was launched for the first time on Saturday, March 25th, 2017 it was a cool morning at the Kiel Canal but the sun was shining bright as was the smile of Stanley Paris who was watching his future boat. „ I already fall in love with her“, he stated and it couldn’t be overlooked that he can hardly wait to have his 53‘ footer ready for sailing.
Once the boat was in water it was rigged and a few tests have been executed. The hard dodger which is not yet fix installed was checked for size and free movement of the beam. Everything went trouble-free and faster than expected, so the boat could be brought back into the shed the very same day.
Now the final installations and adjustments are worked flat out to finish the boat in time. Sea trials are scheduled for April before the boat will leave to Newport, Rhode Island with a stop-over in Brest, France.
