Storage halls

Knierim has 2 heated storage halls of 6,000 and 2,700 m². The roll-up doors are big enough to give access for boats up to 8 meters width and 10 meters height. The halls are equipped with fire detection devices and a security service is present at night and 24hours on weekends.

Outside storage

On our pier limited storage is available for winter storage of boats or container parking.

Lift

Knierim operates an own mobile crane which can lift yachts up to 30 tons. Also container can easily be lifted as the crane is a converted reach stacker. A second smaller mobile crane is used for mast stepping and lifting small boats.

Heavier boats will be lifted with hired mobile cranes. Also long masts will be stepped or unstopped with these cranes.

Ground transport

Knierim uses 2 hydraulically operated lifting trolleys for moving yachts on the ground. The bigger one can carry up to 70 tons. They are remote controlled and the boats can be parked precisely at the position wanted.

Cradles

To be able to move boats with our trolleys certain cradles are necessary which are offered by Knierim for rent during the storage period.

Winter storage at Knierim is valet parking for your boat. You bring your boat to our pier. If required we also pick up your boat from its berth. Once arrived we unstep your mast, lift the boat, clean the bottom with high pressure, put it in a cradle, and move into the hall.

You simply tell us what kind of maintenance work you want to have done during the storage period and in spring everything is finished and your boat is well prepared for the next season and waiting for you at our pier.
